Production of oi l
In 1999, a total of 1 .89 million cubic metres of oil was produced, 0 .14 million cubic metres, or 7.0% less than in 1998 . Onshore fields accounted for 0.72 million cubic meters of oil (a drop of 11 .8%, or 0.09 million cubic metres), while 1 .17 million cubic meters was produced from fields in the Dutch sector of the North Sea. (a drop of 3.8% or 0.05 million cubic meters).
Average daily oil production over 1999 was 5,172 cubic metres, which is equivalent to 32,529 barrels a day on average . The 1998 figures were 5,560 cubic metres, or 34,967 barrels a day .

Reserve s
De reserveramingen worden uitgevoerd door het Nederlands Instituut voor Toegepaste
Geowetenschappen (NITG-TNO) . De ramingen hebben betrekking op de reservoirs in geologische structuren, waarin de aanwezigheid van koolwater-stoffen daadwerkelijk is aangetoond door middel van een of meerdere boringen .
Alle aangetoonde voorkomens worden
meegenomen, ook die waa rv an op het moment van deze rappo rtage niet met zekerheid kan worden gezegd of c.q . wanneer zij in productie zullen worden genomen .
Voor de recent ontdekte voorkomens is volstaan met een voorlopige raming van de reserves . De post herzieningen heeft betrekking op herevaluatie van de reserves in voorkomens, die reeds voor 1999 waren aangetoond . De structuren, waarin slechts gas- of olie-indicaties zijn aangetro ff en, zijn niet in de ramingen van winbare hoeveelheden betrokken . Naast een opgave van de reserves in aangetoonde voorkomens bevat dit verstag ook een schatting van toekomstige addities tot de aardgasreserves resulte-rend uit nog te verrichten exploratie .
Aardgasreserves
In de onderstaande tabellen wordt een samenvatting gegeven van de resterende reserves van aardgas per 1 januari 2000 in de op die datum aangetoonde velden .
Reserve estimates are prepared by the Netherlands Institute of Applied Geoscience - TNO - National Geological Survey (NITG-TNO). The estimates cover those reservoirs in geological structures in which the presence of hydrocarbons has been proven conclusively by of one or more wells .
All accumulations are included, even the ones of which it could not be stated with certainty at the reporting date whether or when they would be put on production .
For a number of recently discovered accumulations only a provisional reserve estimate is given . The item
'revisions' concerns reassessment of reserves in accumulations found prior to 1999. The structures in
which only shows of oil or gas were detected are not included in the estimates of recoverable reserves .
In addition to the statement of reserves in proven fields, this report also contains an estimate of future additions to the gas reserves resulting from future exploration.

1999 netto af met 57 miljard m3 als resultaat van nieuwe vondsten, herwaarderingen van eerder aangetoonde velden en (netto) productie .
In 1999 warden negen gasvondsten gedaan, twee op het territoir en zeven op het Continentaal plat . Volgens een voorlopige raming zorgen deze nieuwe vondsten voor een toevoeging aan de reserves van
22 miljard m3 . Nadere evaluatie zal moeten uitwijzen, hoe groot de additionele reserves feitelijk zijn .
Het resultaat van herwaarderingen in 1999 van reeds eerder aangetoonde velden levert een netto afname van de reserves met 9 miljard m3 .
In 1999 werd in totaal 72 miljard m3 aardgas geproduceerd . Vanwege injectie van 2 miljard m3 in ondergrondse opslagfaciliteiten kwam de netto productie in 1999 uit op 70 miljard m3 .

decreased by 57 billion cubic metres. This represent, the overall balance of new finds, revisions of previously proven fields and (net) production .
In 1999, nine gas discoveries were made, two onshore and seven on the Continental Shelf.
Provisional estimates suggest that these new finds represent an addition to the reserves of 22 billion cubic metres . Further appraisal will establish the actual volumes of these additional reserves.
The 1999 reassessment of previously proven fields resulted in a net reduction in the reserves by 9 billiot cubic metres.
In 1999, net production of natural gas totalle d 72 billion cubic metres. As a result of injection of 2 billion cubic metres of natural gas into
underground storage facilities (UGS), net production in 1999 totalled 70 billion cubic metres.

Per 1 januari 2000 bedroeg het totaal aantal produce-rende gasvelden, buiten het Groningenveld, 171 . Het aantal niet-producerende velden bedroeg 166, waarvan 72 op het territoir en 94 op het Continentaal plat (in deze telling zijn de inmiddels verlaten aardgasvelden niet meegerekend) .
De reserves in de tot 1 januari 2000 aangetoonde, maar nog niet in productie genomen, voorkomens samen bedroeg circa 310 miljard m3 . Van dit volume moet een gedeelte ter grootte van circa 50 miljard m3 worden aangemerkt als sub-economisch op grond van (een combinatie van) factoren als omvang, ligging, produceerbaarheid en gassamenstelling .
De verdeling van het totale aantal gasvelden naar hun veldgrootte, uitgedrukt in verwachte initiele reserve, wordt weergegeven in Overzicht 26 voor zowel het territoir als het Continentaal plat (hierin zijn wel de inmiddels verlaten velden meegeteld) .
On 1 January 2000 the total number of producing gas fields, apart from the Groningen field, was 171 . The number of non-producing fields was 166, of which 72 were located onshore and 94 on the Continental Shelf (these figures do not include abandoned gas fields).
The reserves contained in accumulations proven, but not yet brought on stream on 1 January 2000, totalled approximately 310 billion cubic metres.
Approximately 50 billion cubic metres of these volumes have to be classified as subeconomic on the basis of (a combination of) factors such as size, location, producibility and gas composition .
