7.4.1 Nederlandse versie Informatiebrochure
“De ontwikkeling en validatie van een Nederlandse C-test”
Beste deelnemer,
U gaat meedoen met een onderzoek van de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Dit is een onderzoek naar de C-test. de C-test is een test die taalvaardigheid meet. Het onderzoek wordt uitgevoerd door Lani Freeborn en Marinde Rijneveld onder begeleiding van Sible Andringa.
Voordat u begint, kunt u hier eerst informatie over het onderzoek lezen. Dat is belangrijk voordat u toestemming geeft.
Het doel van het onderzoek
Voor dit onderzoek is er een test ontwikkeld. In dit onderzoek willen we kijken of deze test een goede (valide) test is om taalvaardigheid in het Nederlands als tweede taal te meten.
Wie kan er aan dit onderzoek meedoen?
U kunt meedoen aan dit onderzoek als u volwassen bent en Nederlands leert als tweede taal. We zullen u in het onderzoek een paar vragen stellen over uw taalachtergrond.
Instructie en procedure
Het onderzoek is helemaal online. U krijgt een mail met een link naar de test. De link opent in een nieuwe browser die door de UvA-server beschermt wordt. Het onderzoek begint met een paar vragen over uw taalachtergrond. Dit onderdeel duurt ongeveer 5 minuten. Daarna volgt een Nederlandse woordenschat-test. Dit onderdeel duurt ook 5 minuten.
Als laatste volgt het deel met de C-test. Dit onderdeel duurt 30 tot maximaal 60 minuten. In dit deel krijgt u een aantal korte gatenteksten te zien. Dit zijn teksten waarin de helft van elk tweede woord is weggelaten. U moet dit woord verder invullen. De test is gemaakt om alle taalniveaus te kunnen meten. Het kan daarom moeilijk worden. Maar u kunt alles gewoon zo goed mogelijk proberen in te vullen. Na 5 minuten gaat u automatisch door naar de
volgende tekst, ook als u nog niet klaar bent. Als u voor 5 minuten klaar bent met de tekst, kunt u zelf doorklikken.
De data die uit deze test komen, zullen tien jaar bewaard worden.
Vrijwilligheid
U doet vrijwillig mee aan dit onderzoek. U kunt op elk moment stoppen met het onderzoek.
U bent niet verplicht om het onderzoek af te maken. Als u stopt, wordt alles verwijderd wat u heeft ingevuld.
Privacy
De informatie die wij in dit onderzoek krijgen, zal alleen worden gebruikt voor analyse. Er wordt geen gebruikt gemaakt van uw persoonlijke gegevens. U doet anoniem aan dit
onderzoek mee. Uw e-mailadres is beveiligd en zal niet gebruikt worden voor andere dingen.
Vergoeding
45 U krijgt een Bol.com voucher van €10,- voor het meedoen aan dit onderzoek.

"The development and validation of a Dutch C-test"
Dear participant,
You are going to participate in a research project of the University of Amsterdam. This is a study of the C-test. a test that measures language proficiency. The research will be conducted by Lani Freeborn and Marinde Rijneveld under the supervision of Sible Andringa.
Before you start, you can read information about the study here. This is important before you give your consent.
The purpose of the study
For this research a test has been developed. In this study we want to see if this test is a good (valid) test to measure language proficiency in Dutch as a second language.
Who can participate in this study?
You can participate in this study if you are an adult and learn Dutch as a second language. In the survey we will ask you some questions about your language background.
Instructions and procedure
The survey is entirely online. You will receive an e-mail with a link to the test. The link will open in a new browser that is protected by the UvA server. The survey begins with a few questions about your language background. This part takes about 5 minutes. This is followed by a Dutch vocabulary test.
This part also takes 5 minutes.
Finally, there is the part with the C test. This part takes 30 to a maximum of 60 minutes. In this part, you will be shown a number of short gap texts. These are texts in which half of every second word has been omitted. You must continue to fill in this word. The test is made to measure all language levels. Therefore, it can be difficult. But you can just try to fill everything in as best you can. After 5 minutes you will automatically move on to the next text, even if you have not finished. If you finish the text before 5 minutes, you can click through yourself. The data from this test will be kept for 10 years.
Voluntary participation
You are participating in this study voluntarily. You can stop taking the study at any time. You are under no obligation to complete the study. If you stop, everything you have filled out will be deleted.
Privacy
The information we receive in this study will only be used for analysis. No use will be made of your
46 personal information. You are participating in this study anonymously. Your email address is secure and will not be used for other things.
Reimbursement
You will receive a Bol.com voucher of €10 for participating in this study.
