Voor de berekening van de kosten gaan wij er vanuit dat er in Nederland circa 750 patiënten per jaar in aanmerking komen voor een behandeling met adjuvante HIPEC.35 _{Om de directe kosten te kunnen berekenen, gaan wij uit van zorgactiviteit}

af naar het volgende zorgproduct: 029199286, operatie in buikholte en/of

lymfeklieren in buikholte en/of rondpompen verwarmde chemotherapie in buikholte om achtergebleven uitzaaiingen aan te pakken (HIPEC) bij kanker van dikke darm of endeldarm. De gemiddelde kosten hiervan bedragen in DIS in 2018 € 10.580cc_.

Op basis van voorgaande gegevens komen de kosten voor de behandeling naar schatting neer op € 7.935.000 (750 patiënten x € 10.580) per jaar. In deze kosten zijn eventuele complicaties en de indirecte kosten niet meegenomen.

Het oordeel dat de behandeling met adjuvante HIPEC bij stadium III coloncarcinoom en een hoog risico op peritoneale metastasering geen te verzekeren prestatie is, bespaart derhalve naar schatting een bedrag van circa € 7,9 miljoen aan zorgkosten per jaar.

9.3 5-jaars resultaten COLOPEC trial

Met de onderzoekers van de COLOPEC trial is afgesproken dat de gegevens met betrekking tot de 5-jaars overleving op termijn met het Zorginstituut gedeeld zullen worden. Indien daar aanleiding voor is, zal het Zorginstituut overwegen om een herbeoordeling te doen.
