1. PET/MR co-acquisition may symbiotically overcome some limitations of each modality taken apart. Thesis. Chapter 1 2. In 18% of patients PET/MR furnished information unavailable from PET/CT to affect management, due to its better performance in evaluating the liver, lymph node, bones, and pelvis.

Thesis, Chapter 2

3. Contrast enhanced-PET/MR detects a higher number of osseous metastases than did PET/CT, and allowed correct staging in 12% of patients previously negative on the basis of CE-PET/CT. Thesis, Chapter 3 4. PET/MRI has the potential to affect clinical decision making and management of breast cancer patients, providing a more accurate staging trough a better assessment of the liver, bone marrow and lymph nodes. Thesis, Chapter 4. 5. PET/MR might allow accurate local and distant staging of colorectal cancer patients both at the time of diagnosis and during follow-up. Thesis, Chapter 5 6. PET/MR might non-invasively help discriminate invasive ductal breast cancer phenotypes, helping to optimize individual therapy options. Thesis, Chapter 6 7. PET/MR-Enterography offers a potential non-invasive technique for differentiating purely fibrotic strictures from mixed or inflammatory strictures in patients with Crohn’s diseases. Thesis, Chapter 7 8. PET/MR is significantly more accurate than either sub-modality alone and more specific than PET alone in the detection of active inflammation in patients with Crohn’s disease. Thesis, Chapter 8 9. Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of any other, never merely as a means to an end but always at the same time as an end. Immanuel Kant, Groundwork of Metaphysic of Morals

10. The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others. His own good, either physical or moral, is not a sufficient warrant. He cannot rightfully be compelled to do or forbear because it will be better for him to do so, because it will make him happier, because, in the opinion of others, to do so would be wise, or even right. John Stuart Mill, On Liberty 11. Adversities and failures are the pillars to build success. Myself 12. Focus on what really matters and always be yourself. Myself
