Key words: errata, addenda – galaxies: haloes – galaxies: high-redshift – quasar: absorption lines.

This is an erratum to the paper ‘MUSEQuBES: Calibrating the redshifts of Lyα emitters using stacked circumgalactic medium absorption

profiles’ that was published in MNRAS, 496, 1013–1022, 2020 (Muzahid et al.

2020). In the published paper, a previous version of Fig.

2

has

been uploaded mistakenly by the publishing house. Here we present the correct version of Fig.

2. This does not have any impact on the results

presented in the paper.

Calibrating Lyα redshifts

4425

Figure 2. Median (left) and mean (right) stacked CGM absorption profiles of HIλ1215 (bottom) and CIVλ1548 (top). The zero velocity (Vpeak) is defined by zpeak, the redshift of peak Lyα emission. The profiles are normalized to the pseudo-continuum estimated far away from zero velocity. The 1σ errors are calculated from 1000 bootstrap realizations of the LAE sample. The best-fitting Gaussian profiles are shown by the smooth red curves. The centroids of the Gaussians (VCGM), marked by the blue vertical dashed lines, provide the velocity offset, Voffset≡ (Vpeak− VCGM). Voffsetmeasured for the different stacked profiles are indicated in the corresponding panels. The weighted average of the Voffsetvalues is 171± 8 km s−1(177± 9 km s−1) for the median (mean) stacked profiles.

In this case, the lower mass face-on sub- sample is dominated by sightlines probing the galaxies along their projected minor axes (four out of six sightlines), whereas the higher

There is no redshift evolution observed in host halo mass, which suggests that galaxies observed as LAEs at different redshifts reside in halos of similar mass.. Table 2 highlights
