observation period light-to-moderate rainfall totals were observed in Haiti, while rainfall was suppressed across the Dominican Republic. The Nord-Ouest department of Haiti had an especially favorable round of rains with totals surpassing 25mm. This area has been experiencing below-average rains since late July. The highest rainfall totals (75 – 100 mm) for the period were just east of Desjardines in southeast Artibonite department of Haiti. Poor rains have caused dry ground conditions to spread into southern Dominican Republic.

A return of moderate rains is expected in the next 7 days.
