137 Curriculum Vitae

Adel Zarei was born on the 23rd of July, 1966 in Babol, Iran. He attended high school at

“Dabirestan Taleghani” in Babol. In 1986, he entered the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, and in 1990 he finished his bachelor studies in Horticultural Sciences at the Chamran University. From September 1991 until 1993 he stayed at Tarbiat-Modaress University and received his master degree from the department of Horticultural Sciences. In 1994 he was appointed as a member of college of Agriculture, University of Mazandaran as instructor and co-researcher active in the department of Plant Pathology for 8 years. In 2003 he received an award from the ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran to start his PhD research under supervision of Prof. dr. Johan Memelink at the Institute of Biology, Leiden University, The Netherlands.
