MRI (Engels)

You will be having an MRI scan soon, and we would like to give you some important information about that examination in advance.

 You do not need to remove your clothes, except if there are any metal buttons, buckles, zippers etc.

 You will be asked to lie on the examination table. You will be given a call button to hold. If you have an important reason for the scan to be stopped, you should press this button.

 You will be given something to drink and you should drink it all.

 During the scan you must lie as still as possible. The scan lasts about 30 minutes.

 The equipment makes a lot of noise, but this is perfectly normal.

 In the course of the examination you might be given an injection of coloured dye. You should remain still during and after the injection.

 Before and after the scan you can go to the toilet if you need to.
