This is an erratum to the paper ‘Evolution of cosmic star forma- tion in the SCUBA-2 Cosmology Legacy Survey’ was published in MNRAS, 467, 1360-1385 (2017). The paper presented an analysis of the cosmic star formation history and obscuration of star for- mation across a stellar mass selected sample. An error appeared in the parametric fit to L

IR/LUV

(L

UV

, M

), equation (7) in the original paper, which should read

log

LIR

LUV

=log a + b log

L

In the original version, the first term on the right-hand side was incorrectly written as simply a. The equation was also written incorrectly in the conclusions. In the equation above, the best-fitting parameters given in the original paper are correct: a = 5.9 ± 1.8,

b

= −0.56 ± 0.07 and c = 0.70 ± 0.07 (reduced χ

2

= 0.2). None of the conclusions discussed in the original paper are affected by this typographical error.

This paper has been typeset from a TEX/LATEX file prepared by the author.

In total, 24 AS2UDS SMGs are detected at a suf ficient number of optical- to-far-infrared wavelengths that we can estimate both their far-infrared luminosities and characteristic

Considering >4 mJy ALMA sources, our identification method has a completeness of 86 per cent with a reliability of 92 per cent, and only 15–20 per cent of sources

In this work, we make use of a cross-correlation technique to statistically associate the sample of SMGs to a much larger K-band- selected galaxy sample, which allows us to infer

11, we show the average flux boosting as a function of signal-to-noise ratio in each field, indicating that at fixed detection significance, the level of flux boosting is

Previous studies of local star-forming galaxies have found that the ratio of the [C II ] to infrared luminosi- ties declines towards higher infrared luminosities, result- ing in a

Finally, we observe that, since hP, vi is self-dual (under v ), it is not only a complete poset but, in fact, a complete lattice, in the sense that every subset has a greatest
