Sven F. Crone is an Assistant Professor in Management Science at Lancaster University, UK, where his research on business forecasting and time series data mining has received international acclaim. As the director of the Lancaster Research Centre for Forecasting, one of the largest research units dedicated to forecasting and analytics, he and his team regularly take state-of-the-art research and apply it in corporate practice: from new product textile forecasting using time series clustering, to using artificial intelligence for forecast model selection in consumer goods companies, and data mining approaches in call centre and energy forecasting. Sven frequently provides in-house training courses on forecasting and analytics for companies, the IBF and IEEE, and has been a regular speaker at numerous conferences, including academic keynotes at BAFI’14, UK KDD’09 and ESTSP’08 and practitioner keynotes at SAS Analytics A2013 USA, PAW’13 Germany, PAW’12 UK, A2012 and A2010 Europe, BAQMAR’08, and SAS F2009, M2008 and F2006 in the USA.

Yuanyuan Liu joined AIG Science in 2013. During the past 4 years, he has led multiple global projects such as SME loss-risk analysis, client lifetime value modelling, submission prioritization, and opportunity seizing using advanced machine learning techniques. Most recently, he is working on AIG’s innovative R&D projects to apply edge-cutting deep learning algorithms in insurance, using generative model, computer vision, and NLU.
Yuanyuan graduated from Oxford with a DPhil in Statistical Machine Learning and an MSc in Applied Statistics.
Prior to that, he studied a Mathematics with Statistics major in Bristol.
