CURRICULUM VITAE

Marjolein Henrieke Liedenbaum is geboren op 25 november 1981 te Terneuzen. Ze volgde het VWO op middelbare school ‘de Rede’ in Terneuzen en haalde in 1999 haar diploma (cum laude). Daarna vertrok ze naar Maastricht om geneeskunde te gaan studeren aan de Universiteit van Maastricht. Naast studeren nam het roeien bij Saurus, de Maastrichtse studentenroeivereniging, een belangrijke plaats in. Zij heeft enkele jaren aan

wedstrijdroeien en clubroeien gedaan en verder was ze actief in meerdere commissies van de vereniging. Naast sporten werd in de laatste jaren van haar studie ook aandacht besteed aan wetenschap; zij deed onderzoek als student-assistent op de afdeling

Neurowetenschapen van de Universiteit Maastricht. Voor het volgen van haar co-schappen greep ze de mogelijkheid aan om enkele keren naar het buitenland te gaan; in Leeds (UK), Curaçao en Gent volgde ze de co-schappen kindergeneeskunde, chirurgie en

oogheelkunde.

Na haar afstuderen in september 2005 werd ze aangenomen als Agnio chirurgie en orthopedie in het Amphia Ziekenhuis te Breda. Na acht maanden daar te hebben gewerkt werd zij aangenomen voor een promotieonderzoek naar ‘CT-colografie in FOBT positieven’ bij professor J. Stoker op de afdeling Radiologie in het Academisch Medisch Centrum (AMC) te Amsterdam. Van juni 2006 tot januari 2010 was zij werkzaam als

arts-onderzoeker op deze afdeling. Zij presenteerde haar onderzoek op meerdere nationale en internationale congressen. Vanaf februari 2010 is zij in opleiding tot radioloog in het AMC. Marjolein is samenwonend met Martijn te Vianen. Zij verwachten in maart 2010 hun eerste kind.

Marjolein Henrieke Liedenbaum was born on November 25th 1981 in Terneuzen. She followed high school at ‘de Rede’ in Terneuzen and graduated in 1999 (cum laude). After her graduation she moved to Maastricht to study medicine at the University of Maastricht. Other than studying she became an active rower at the student rowing club ‘Saurus’. Furthermore she took part in several committees of her rowing club. In the last years of her study she was involved in research at the department of Neurosciences at the University of Maastricht. Furthermore she followed several internships abroad; in Leeds (UK), Curacao and Gent she followed respectively paediatrics, surgery and ophthalmology. After receiving her MD degree in September 2005 she started working as a resident at the Surgery department of the Amphia Hospital in Breda. After working there for eight months, she applied for a PhD project of Professor J. Stoker at the Radiology department of the Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam. From June 2006 till January 2010 she was a PhD student on ‘CT colonography in FOBT positives’ at this department. She presented her research at national and international congresses. In February 2010 she started her radiological training as resident at the Academic Medical Centre.

Marjolein lives together with Martijn in Vianen. They expect their first child at the end of March 2010.
