The history behind the Forum reaches back in the 80’s, when the NATO Combat Clothing & Personal Equipment Exhibition was launched in Lisboa. The event was for the first time held in Prague in 2000, and since 2008 it has been settled in Prague, Czech Republic. The event regularly hosts wide range of delegates from all over the world and Prague has thus become a gathering place for defence and security leaders and whole industry supply chain.

Future Forces Forum is a highly recognized and widely endorsed international platform for defence & security information exchange, promotion of the allied countries and its partners’ objectives and capabilities within the national and global security.

The Forum consists of a compilation of events and activities at high political, military, security and expert level. All events are primar- ily focused on presentations of current and future needs in order to ensure the security, and on presentations of industry and R&D capabilities to provide governments and international organisations with required solutions and state-of-the-art technologies.

Since the topics related to current defence & security needs are interconnected and involve many key players, Future Forces Forum gathers not only the military, special forces or police, but also other targeted components, such as the emergency management sys- tem, firefighters, emergency medical service, border protection, aviation safety, critical infrastructure protection, homeland security, citizenship and immigration service, health affairs offices, intelligence and analysis offices, science and technology centres, and other relevant stakeholders.
