The comprehensive cancer centres (CCC’s) in the Netherlands have been founded to provide comprehensive and high-quality cancer care close to home for all cancer patients. The CCCA provides and coordinates a collaboration of all health care professionals and institutions involved in cancer and palliative care. The CCCA functions as a centre of knowledge and quality care that helps to improve cancer treatment, patient care and clinical research as well as prevention of cancer and decrease of cancer mortality.’
