Millions of people through-out the world are affected by HIV/AIDS, a devastating disease that is one of the most striking examples of a problem that transcends borders. Global efforts and collaborations in all fi elds should be made to stop this devastating epidemic; from fundamental research to treatment availability and from education to interven-tion strategies.
