University Research Governance (Framework)
Institutional arrangements within universities (e.g., lines of authority, decision making processes, financing, and staffing). This depends on ‐ external governance, which “refers to the institutional arrangements on the macro or system level (e.g., laws and decrees, funding ‐ ‐
arrangements, evaluations)” to define new research agenda and strategies”. (Leisyte, 2007, p. 23; Brunner, J.J. (2011); Kuhlmann, 2011; Whitley and Glaser, 2007.
Research Question
How does the governance of research in university environments respond to demands of the scientific production -articles and journals- in Colombia –SJSC-?
The methodology to be used in this research follows an embedded case study approach (Yin, 2009) in multilevel environments and multiple cases: Three universities (central) of different types of ownership (public and private) active within the Colombian SJSC.
