Curriculum Vitae
Martijn van Hagen was born on the 8th of february 1979 in Delft, the Netherlands. After graduating from the Sint Maartenscollege Voorburg in 1997 he went on to obtain a Bachellor degree in Biochemistry from the Hogeschool Rotterdam in 2002. A research internship at the University of Oxford, in the lab of Dr. Rosangela Da Silva, inspired him to pursue a career in science. To that end, after entering the lab of Prof. Dr. Hans Tanke in 2002 as a research technician, he managed to obtain a position as a PhD student. In January 2005 he formally started his PhD training in Molecular and Cellular Biology under supervision of Dr. Alfred Vertegaal.
