1. Door de ontdekking dat NTCP de receptor van het hepatitis B/delta virus is (Yan et al.

Elife 2012), zit het onderzoek naar galzoutopname in de lever in een stroomversnelling (dit proefschrift)

2. De gecombineerde activiteit van OATPs spelt een cruciale rol in de galzoutopname in de lever van muizen, maar niet bij mensen (dit proefschrift)

3. Hoge plasma galzoutspiegels moeten niet direct geïnterpreteerd worden als een teken van (cholestatische) leverziekte (dit proefschrift)
