Conclusions
The trauformatiou of the Al09 to a siugle engine he-licopter has been a challeugiug task as highlighted
by the long development process eveu though the
use of a proof of concept demonstator has helped
to rednce the critical areas of refinement. This was
also Jue to the Agnsta positiou that no
compro-mise:> were accepta.ble Oll the basic requiremeuts driving this project. The final result is remarkable as cau be noticed by the Jramatically reJuced ba-sic empty weight now standing at 1430 Kg allowing 1270Kg of iuterual useful load aud 1400 Kg of ex-ternal load capability. Excellent speeJ performance has been achieved (Vue of 152Kts aud Vh in excess of 140Kts) together with gooJ rauge auJ eudnrauce characteristics. These will coutribnte to the ability to fnllfil a wiUe rauge of missions anJ. tasks making the PT6B-37 powered Al19 Koala oue of the most flexible machines of its category.
