List of propositions:
• Gluon Transverse Momentum-Dependent distributions (TMDs) can be studied at the LHC through various processes (Chapter 4)
• J/ψ- and Υ-pair production are good experimental probes of gluon TMDs at the LHC (Chapter 4)
• In particular, central quarkonium-pair production at large mass of the pair maximises the cos(4φ) asymmetry, providing a good access to the linear polarisation of gluons inside unpolarised hadrons (Chapter 5) • Including TMD evolution in our models is necessary as its effects are not
negligible on the resulting observables for quarkonium-pair production at the LHC (Chapter 5)
• TMD evolution results in a wider transverse-momentum spectrum of quarkonium pairs and a suppression of azimuthal asymmetries, which however remain sizeable (Chapter 6)
• Analysing the helicity structure of the quarkonium-pair production am-plitude allows one to understand how it maximises the cos(4φ) asym-metry and shows that the known QCD radiation zero for longitudinal pairs could be detected in the TMD regime (Chapter 7)
• Codes written to obtain published results should systematically be pub-lished along, in an effort to increase transparency and reproducibility
