Curriculum vitae

Curriculum vitae

Britta Weigelt was born on November 18'h 1975 in Schwabisch Grnund, Germany. After

finishing her secondary education in 1995 at the Kronwerk Gymnasium in Rendsburg, she started her studies at the Faculty of Biology at University of Hamburg. Her Masters Degree thesis (1999 - 2000) on the subject 'Signal transduction pathways of antibody- and Cerulenin-mediated apoptosis in human tumor cells' was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. C.-W. Vogel at the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii, Honolulu, USA. In May 2001 she started working as a PhD student in the Division of Experimental Therapy at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam, under supervision of Dr. L.J. van 't Veer. The results of the research are presented in this thesis. Since July 2005 she is employed as a postdoctoral scientist, also in the group of Dr. L.J. van 't Veer.
